Vocabulary Words Lesson 2. (Pictures and Definitions)

1.Subvert: to ruin something.

2. Subservient: to be useful

3.contort: to bend or twist something

4. distort: to change the meaning of something into something else, the way people see it

5. retort: to return

6. tortuous: full of twists, bends, and not direct.

7. adversity: misfortune

8. avert: turn something away, aside.

9. introvert: a person who is shy and or timid

10. perverse: wicked or corrupt

11.prose: speaking normally
