Math Poem/final draft

Math in Music Song
Music in paper can be called math
Well all there is written adds up to one
Notes and rests are like numbers,
That break the song into fractions

If you are playing guitar or piano
Math relates without a matter
The number of buttons or strings in it
Have a number of scales to fit within

Music videos are full of math
Even if you’re looking only at its time
Behind the scenes with your camera
You are measuring to fit what you want

Note and rests are fractions
Either being a half or quarter
Mix and match them to form a song
That if you break in pieces
Adds up to 4

In music you find patters
Either with repetition rhyme or product
Something appearing over and over again
Will make the song repeat in your head

Singers are also mathematicians
Well all they do math
While practicing their do re mi’s
The tempo tells them when to sing

Rhythm music is water in a tank
So necessary that you can’t take it out
In rhythm you count to sense things up
Well in a song rhythm weighs a ton

Counting in music is fundamental
Up to tree or up to four are the common measures
How to count you’ve learned in math
But I hope it was when you were 5
